About C-Tech

Established in 1997

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND

Alex Vallings and Lyn Holland established C-Tech in 1997 from a shed in west Auckland. They originally began making carbon components for small yachts.

C-Tech then grew to become the exclusive batten supplier to both Defender and Challenger in the 2003 America’s Cup, by 2007 all America’s cup teams were using C-Tech SailBattens, and we have since lead the market on battens and sail hardware.

In 2010 C-Tech moved to a custom built, state of the art factory and we have continued to grow. While our roots remain firmly in the marine industry our race proven experience and composite manufacturing expertise have expanded and we are now attracting exciting projects from many different industries including telecommunications and aerospace.

Our inventive and highly motivated team have developed countless world leading products and have fun staying true to our company mission to ‘Make cool things go fast’.
