 Inflatable Headsail Battens (June 2006)
C-Tech's new inflatable headsail batten product was introduced during Act 12 in Valencia. CT Airbattens are now being used by half the competing syndicates.
Of the remaining teams, several have developed their own in-house product while others are still using rigid fibre-glass battens. The rigid battens have to be replaced regularly as they snap on contact with the shrouds.
