CT Leech battens can be used in both mainsails and jibs. Suitable for any size and type of yacht from 50ft upwards, CT Leech battens are available in both the CT22 & CT33S size ranges.

The CT Leech batten has the same rectangular, hollow tapered profile as the full length batten. Pure s-glass is used at the tip, blending out to pure carbon at the leech. This allows the batten to retain stiffness at the leech and yet be flexible at the tip.

For extra durability, solid pultruded leech battens can be coated with layers of prepreg carbon fibre at 45° and 90° (uni-directional). The addition of carbon fibre provides extra stiffness to the pultruded batten and helps prevent the tip splitting and splintering of the outer layer.

The CTLS Solid Leech batten is an effective and durable low-cost solution, particularly for cruising sails.
