Round luff-end conversions
Standard CT Sailbattens have a rectangular luff end. A luff-end conversion can be moulded during manufacturing to form an integral round end that can be used with conventional batten receptacles.
Round luff ends (including diameter required) must be specified prior to manufacture.

- Midi battens: 16mm
- Standard / Maxi battens: 19mm - 25mm

Dry kevlar over-braiding
Dry kevlar sock can be applied to the outside of a finished batten. The kevlar sock is attached with double-sided tape and fixed at each end using tough heat-shrink rubber.

Benefits
- Helps protect sail in event of batten failure
- Provides chafe-resistance
- Easier batten removal should a batten break (especially in offshore conditions)

Spares Kit
In the rare event of a breakage, CT Sailbattens a Spares Kit can be used to repair battens at sea or in port. A spares kit can be ordered in case repairs are needed for offshore sailing.

- Customsed to suit each set of battens
- Standard components:
- Batten stock material
- Solid carbon plate to fit inside batten (as a joiner)
- Split outer sleeves to fit over outside of repair
- Round luff sleeves can be supplied (please enquire)

Short Joins
In some cases, battens may need to be made with joins at shorter lengths than normal. This can be done on request (may depend on batten design).
